THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 6 (Video) – The residents of Alexandria are used to the finer things in life: dinner parties and living in perfect ignorant bliss about the zombie apocalypse. But all of that changed once Rick and the others showed up.
Fan favorite Daryl Dixon played by Norman Reedus sat down and had a chat with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming season of The Walking Dead. “Season 6 is much different than the previous seasons,” says Reedus. “It’s kind of our group being okay with stability and fighting stability and figuring out if we can actually live with other people.”
Reedus hints that some members of the group may be too far gone to be saved. “You’ve taken a bunch of wild animals and put them in a domestic environment, and some of them prefer to be wild animals, and some of them can’t figure out how to be anything other than that. So we’ve come to a place where we can live with the public or live in a community and us having inner turmoil with trying to discover if that’s possible at all.”
Executive producer Greg Nicortero says that the timeline will not be linear. “We do play with time a little bit,” says Nicotero, who directed the premiere. “And not in a traditional sense. We open right in the middle of this heightened action sequence, and we then jump around in that time frame to allow the audience to put together in their own minds what it is that we actually just saw.”
Fans will have the opportunity to catch up on seasons one through five with a marathon on AMC called “5 Sundays/5 Seasons”. Starting on July 26 at 2:30 p.m., AMC will air a single season up until Sunday August 23.
